the adopted hometown Sweet Home Chicago
The Face Fountain in Millennium Park. The faces that appear on this wall change every few minutes. They are faces of actual Chicagoans. Just before the face changes, the face "spits" a fountain on anyone who wants to get wet.
I'm a soccer fan. It is truly "The Beautiful Game." Chicago is fortunate to have major league teams in men's and women's pro soccer, the Fire and the Red Stars. Their home field, Toyota Park, is shown between the two teams' logos. To the right of the Red Stars is the original facade of Soldier Field, all that is left of the original stadium.
Bears, Bulls, Sox, Cubs, Blackhawks, Marathons and maybe the Olympics. Chicago is a sports town, beyond doubt.
The "Bean" in Millennium Park, the Executive Plaza Hotel, the Hancock from North Avenue Pier. The Millennium Park spitting faces.
The Tribune Tower and Wrigley Building, a new hotel, the two Prudential Buildings, Buckingham Fountain, Frank Lloyd Wright's many buildings, all park of the Chicago mosaic.
Dusk and nightview of the Water Tower, the top of the Hancock looking up Lakeshore Drive, the Chicago Theatre and the lion guarding the gate at the Art Institute of Chicago (all above). More skyline views below.
The World's Busiest Airport (except when it's Atlanta).
